*UPDATE* The buffet is sold!
Friends, I’m selling my beautiful antique buffet! I know, I know, it hurts my heart to let it go. It’s absolutely gorgeous! But, I have a very good reason. I’m going to Africa!
Do you remember my post about my cousin Laura who started an orphanage in Uganda? Well, I’m going to visit her! She’s getting married this summer. The wedding will be in Africa, and several of my sisters and I are flying over for the wedding and to visit the orphanage! I’m going to meet my beautiful Stellah, who I sponsor, and I’m going to hug all those sweet babies. I’ve watched Laura work so hard to help start this orphanage and grow it into the wonderful place that it is today, and to actually be able to visit it in person is a dream come true!
So, while it hurts my heart to let go off my beautiful antique buffet, the thought of putting that money towards this trip makes my heart tremendously happy! So, here are the details.
We bought this gorgeous buffet last spring to put under our six foot long vintage kitchen sink. After meeting with our cabinet guy (and asking you all what you would do), we decided to have our cabinet guy recreate the design of the original 1920’s kitchen cabinet under our sink. And while we love this buffet and had planned to just keep it, I’d rather sell it for the same price that we bought it and put that money towards this once in a lifetime trip!
The buffet is from the early 1900’s, to our best estimate. The detail on the woodwork is amazing!
This buffet is big, bold, and beautiful! Like, seriously big. It’s over six feet long, and it is solid! The exact measurements are 78″ wide, 36″tall (plus a few inches for the scroll design on the back), and 23″ deep. It has a glass top, two deep drawers in the middle, two cupboards on the sides, and three drawers along the top (the middle two latches are for once wide drawer). The drawers slide open and closed beautifully. We are selling it for the same price that we paid for it, and we are located in NW Ohio.
If you are interested in getting more information about buying it, you can contact me by sending me a message through my Whimsical Blue Living Facebook page, or by using the contact form on my blog (please make sure to leave your contact info, including email address, so I can reply.) I will be sure to update this post once the buffet is sold!
Also, keep an eye out on my Whimsical Blue Living Facebook page for some smaller antiques that I might be selling soon. I’m busy cleaning out the basement and attic and sorting through my collection of treasures, so there is a good chance I’ll be posting some pieces soon to sell!
Have a beautiful day!
Sandy
