A Few Of My Favorite Instagram Accounts To Follow

I was having a conversation recently with a friend about some of my favorite sources for design inspiration, and I kept raving about Instagram! It is one of my favorite social media platforms. There is something so interesting about those little square pictures, full of color and beauty and life. I really enjoy following along on people’s journeys, cheering them on as they tackle their projects and asking for advice on my own home. Here are just a few of my favorite accounts to follow. And friends, I think I’m going to have to turn this into a series, as there are so many more accounts I want to share with you!

One of my absolute favorites is Abbie from M is for Mama. Her use of color is stunning! She was one of my main inspirations when I worked on our daughter’s room. The way that she combines white walls with colorful accessories is perfection. Her home is full of my favorite shade of blue-green, colorful patterns, and unique pieces. And friends, she wallpapered her microwave! She is the coolest!

Sara Jo from Bryarton Farm is another one of my favorites on Instagram. She and her husband are restoring their 1893 farmhouse, and her kitchen is a dream! I have a serious love of vintage sinks, and hers is gorgeous. She also has an antique stove that makes my heart skip a beat. Her use of authentic farmhouse details in her restoration project is amazing. That blue-green paint color is so pretty!

Jessica at Jesswasserman lives in a town near me in NW Ohio, and she and her husband built their beautiful house. She does an incredible job of using vintage pieces in a brand new home to give it a gorgeous, one of a kind look. Her house is full of crystal chandeliers and her antique kitchen sink is stunning! Someday I want to visit the coffee shop that she owns. People rave about all the yummy flavors!

Dreamy Whites Lifestyle has the most stunning French farmhouse pieces for sale in her online store, and her pictures are like something out of a magazine. The bright white walls with pops of pretty blue accessories make her style just shine. Her antique stone kitchen sink and brass faucet stop me in my tracks every time!

Susan at Kindred Vintage has such a natural sense of style, and I love how she combines antique pieces with just a touch of modern decor to really add another level of interest. Her daughter’s green bedroom is one of my absolute favorites, and she was kind enough to answer my questions about the paint color when I was searching for the perfect shade of green! Obviously her love of crystal chandeliers makes my heart sing!

Oh friends, there are so many more Instagram accounts that I want to share with you, but it is so late as I write this post and I can barely keep my eyes open! I’ll share more of my favorite accounts soon. I’m so impressed both with the amazing talent on Instagram and with the kindness of the overall community. Be sure to check out these accounts for so much inspiration!

Do you have any recommendations of Instagram accounts I should follow? I’d love to hear all about them! You can find me on Instagram at Whimsical Blue, as well as on Facebook and Pinterest.

Have a beautiful day!
Sandy

8 years ago by whimsicalblue My husband surprised me last night with this gorgeous azalea tree for Valentine's Day! My favorite part was when I asked him how to care for it. There was a pause, then he smiled and said, "Oh, I'm not sure. I didn't expect it to live that long." He knows me so well! When I laughed and assured him I would do my best to keep it alive, he gave me a hug and said in a reassuring voice, "Let's just enjoy it while it lasts." He knows me so well and yet still buys me flowers because he loves…

Welcome To Our Reason
